1. Overview
These Terms and Conditions govern all orders placed with Betty Jane’s Bakery (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Custom Cakes and Standard Online Pickup Orders
The $100 non-refundable deposit, balance due at least 2 weeks before the event, and requirement to request changes at least 14 days before the event apply to all custom cakes, including wedding and groom’s cakes. These three requirements do not apply to standard online pickup orders.
2. Orders and Booking
  • All orders are subject to availability.
  • Custom cake orders are not confirmed until a deposit is received.
  • We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weddings and large events.
3. Custom Cakes: Deposits and Payments
  • For all custom cakes, including wedding and groom’s cakes, a non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to secure your date.
  • For custom cake orders, the remaining balance must be paid at least 2 weeks prior to the event date.
  • Custom cake orders not fully paid by the due date may be subject to cancellation.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
  • Deposits are non-refundable.
  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event may receive a partial refund (excluding deposit).
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are non-refundable.
5. Changes to Custom Cake Orders
  • For custom cake orders, changes to design, size, or details must be requested at least 14 days before the event.
  • We will do our best to accommodate changes, but they are not guaranteed.
6. Delivery and Pickup
  • Delivery fees may apply and are based on location.
  • The customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery information.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect addresses or unforeseen circumstances.
Pickup:
  • Cakes must be picked up at the agreed time.
  • Once the order leaves our possession, we are not responsible for damage.
7. Design and Product Disclaimer
  • All cakes are handmade; slight variations in design may occur.
  • Colors, decorations, and details may vary slightly from inspiration images.
8. Allergies and Ingredients
  • Our products may contain or come into contact with common allergens such as nuts, dairy, eggs, and gluten.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us of any allergies.
9. Liability
  • Betty Jane’s Bakery is not liable for any damage occurring after delivery or pickup.
  • We are not responsible for conditions beyond our control (weather, venue conditions, etc.).
10. Communication
  • All communication regarding orders should be conducted through our official channels (Wix, email, or approved methods).
  • We use the contact details you provide for order, booking, and other service-related messages. Promotional emails and texts require a separate marketing opt-in; providing contact details for an order does not subscribe you to marketing. Message and data rates may apply. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the provided link or opt out of texts by replying STOP.
